Frances Whiting is one of Australia’s best known and popular writers. A senior feature writer for Queensland’s premier weekend magazine, Q Weekend (The Courier-Mail), Frances is also a much-loved columnist for The Sunday Mail and other Sunday newspapers around Australia, and her weekly column is now in its 18th year.
Two collections of her columns have been published: Oh to Be a Marching Girl (2003) and That’s a Home Run, Tiger! (2006), with both appearing on national best-seller lists and proved to be book club favourites.

In September 2013, Frances’s highly anticipated debut novel, Walking on Trampolines, was published through Pan Macmillan, and Books and Publishing recently awarded it a Four Star rating calling the book “surprising and wonderful”.
